Engineering explained

When a machine is down, the cost is measured per hour and the part is usually small, awkward and irreplaceable at short notice. Engineering courier work is therefore about certainty rather than speed alone: one driver, one vehicle, a known collection time and a delivery you can plan the repair around.

We move machine and spindle parts, tooling and fixtures, prototypes and first-off samples, calibration and test equipment out to service providers and back, and boxed sub-assemblies between sites. Heavier items travel on a Luton or 7.5 tonne with tail-lift where a two-person lift is not realistic.

Wait-and-return is common in this sector — the driver holds while an item is inspected, calibrated or repaired and brings it straight back — and it is priced up front rather than added later as waiting time.
